Requesting Change to a Document


 

  1. Overview


    • A Change can include changes to one or more documents in the system (Document Control). 


    • Users can only request changes to Approved documents. 


  1. How to Request Change to a Document


Step 1: Choose Document under Scope section.



Step 2: Navigate to Document tab.



Step 3: Click on the link button.



Step 4: You can choose multiple documents that are related to the current Change. After selecting all relevant documents, choose Submit. 





Step 5: CHANGE REQUEST button shall be visible if there is a document under Select Documents field.



Step 6: Click CHANGE REQUEST button to request change to an approved document


  • A new dialog shall display with the link to document being change requested, users can choose to assign the new draft of the change requested document to the original author or another person in the system. 

  • If an approved document has a draft circulating in the system, a link to a draft document shall be automatically populated under the 'Link to current Draft' field. The requested change will not have effect on this document. 

  • Once finished, click submit to start the creation and assignment of new drafts to the responsible users.

Document Link

  • Display the link to the document for which a change has been submitted (displayed if changes are active on the selected documents from 'Select Documents' field)


New Version Link

  • Displays link to each Draft that was created for each Document listed in the Select Documents field
