It is necessary sometimes to restrict which users may start a particular process. For e.g all users may be able to review or be asked to approve a document, however only users that belong to a particular group (e.g Document Controllers group) may be able to start a new document in the system. 


In order to specify which users can start a process, open the Process Setting, navigate to the Basic Details section and specify the users or groups in the 'Users that can start the process' field. Save the Process Setting, this change shall come into effect after a user logs in. The process shall be hidden from the Start New menu and the Favourite Process section of the Dashboard if a user does not have access to start this process.
